Bass Traps are acoustic energy absorbers which are designed to damp low frequency sound energy with the goal of attaining a flatter low frequency room response by reducing low end resonances in rooms. They are commonly used in recording studios, mastering rooms, home theaters and other rooms built to provide a critical listening environment. Here you will find our bass absorbing products like bass traps and corner bass traps, also known as Tri-Traps, as well as bass absorbers that have a variety of options for limiting ranges of absorption or targeting specific frequencies and cancelling them. They are a proven, cost-effective solution for recording studios, 2-channel listening rooms, home theaters, and many more applications.

GIK Acoustics’ treatments are constructed with rigid fiberglass and are broadband in nature – thus they tend to deal with the entire frequency range. Acoustic Panels are a very cost effective manner in which to treat a room. Bass Traps have a thicker profile ranging from 4″ – 17” which work to reduce low-end resonances in rooms.
244 Bass Traps, and Monster Bass Traps all come standard with 4 eyehooks in the back of the frame and accompanying picture wire. Once you have your orientation and height decided, simply attach the wire to the panel and install on the wall like a picture frame. We recommend Ooks Hooks, but any picture hook will work.
